We started out walking through the town - having lunch. I have to say, we got there just before noon and there were a TON of people there. We had to drive down several streets to find parking and many of the country-style lunch places had a wait for lunch. Eventually, we did find a decently good place.
After lunch, we waited an amazing 20 mins for a slice of pie (and we picked the shortest line we could find). I have to say, it was really good though. I got a pie crust cookie for Hayden and she had some of my caramel dutch apple pie with ice cream too. She was a happy camper and maybe just a bit hyper, but also pretty affectionate with Becky and Steve, which was nice.
After lunch and dessert, we walked through several stores before leaving to go somewhere we could actually pick apples. Apparently, the apple season was pretty short this year, so some of the orchards were closed, but we found one that still had apples on the trees.
At this point, all the apples that were left were pretty high up on the tree,
so Hayden needed some help to get them.
They were little, but really good! We'll have to do it again next year.
