Pumpkin Patch

Last year we failed, miserable, at taking Hayden to a pumpkin patch. (We took her to a totally lame one and THEN she got sick later that day.) So this year, I wanted to make the effort to take her to the best one I knew of - Bates Nut Farm.

They actually have a pumpkin patch there, where pumpkins actually grow, plus a straw maze, pony rides, and tons of other stands, things to purchase and blow up rides.

Of course, they also had a great selection of pumpkins.

We got there at 11am, but it was already really crowded. And really hot - as in, 90 degrees in the sun. So we skipped the food, random booths selling things and the pony rides. We did do the straw maze, partly because I've never done one before. We mostly had Hayden direct us, until it started getting way too hot and then we helped. I think she had fun.
