I realize this isn't the most exciting post, but years later, when I've forgotten everything, I'd like to remember what Hayden ate at this age. Honestly, it's mostly raw and pretty healthy at this point. The pic is a collage of some of her recent dinners. Always raw fruits and vegetables (except broccoli, which is cooked and usually with cheese), which make up the majority of her meals. She likes bell pepper and cucumbers the best, but will also eat carrots, snap peas and occasionally, cauliflower and tomatoes. As expected, she likes most fruit, but especially grapes, oranges, berries and pears.
Then she has some protein, either chicken, turkey hot dogs and/or nuts. I'm thrilled that she likes almost all nuts, but especially pistachios, hazel nuts and cashews. She also dips walnuts in peanut butter! Like her mom, she loves cheese and sometimes likes yogurt. Oddly, she doesn't like potatoes of any kind, but does like crackers, bread and rice. She gets crackers for snack at preschool, or as bribes to eat to eat other things, so they aren't usually on her plate to start off with.
Oh, and she loves peanut butter, which she has for breakfast every morning (either with dry bread or in a peanut butter/honey sandwich). That and fruit of course. She does love dessert, also like her mom, and I do let her have some after she eats her other food. Ice cream is a big hit, as are cookies and candy. Actually, there isn't much dessert she doesn't like. :)
Regarding the other pictures: In Julian, we found this "candy basement," which Hayden was scared of at first, but then loved once she figured out what it was and how many different kinds of candy there was down there. It was fun for us both.

Will she eat what you guys make for dinner or do you make Hayden her own special dinner?
She will NOT eat what we eat. Sometimes she'll have some, but generally not enough to make a meal. She loves "her food."
I wish I could go to that basement! Like a dream place for any kid :)
