This year I decided to get Hayden an advent calendar, a nice one that she could use for years to come. I thought it would be a fun, visual way to count down to Christmas.
At first, being a big fan of all things candy, I was going to get one that you fill with treats. At the last min, the one I was going to get was sold out and so I got this one instead, thinking we could do ornaments and treats. I mentioned that to Hayden and of course she was excited about the treats, but unfortunately, the little boxes are too small for treats. Hayden was initially bummed, but I'm thrilled that today, when we did our first ornament, she was pretty excited about it and didn't even ask about treats! She even proactively mentioned getting to do it again tomorrow.
